Sow seeds 4 weeks before last spring frost under a row cover with warm conditions.
Germination: Seed germinates in 10-14 days at 72 to 75ºF (22 to 24ºC).
Water seed in to ensure it is consistently damp or on the point of saturation
Sow the seed on top of soil and keep it bare, as light is not required for germination.
Keep slightly dryer at cooler temp once seedlings appear.
When large enough transplant to trays and grow on in cooler conditions.

As an adult and blooming this species will not feed.
