A trailing or twining dainty annual vine growing to 5ft, with triangular 3 inch leaves and masses of 1 inch wide eye-catching tubular flowers in a range of colours from orange, through yellow to white. Great in borders, especially hanging baskets and can be used effectively as ground cover. Annual.
Cultivation advice
- Sow from 5-6 weeks before the last frost under cover with warmth (above 60F), at ½ inch deep and keep moist.
- Can be planted direct to growing position when soil temperature is well above 50F.
- Germination can be slow(14-21 days), especially in cooler conditions.
- Once germinated bring on at a minimum of 50F with a good source of light.
- Once all danger of frost has passed gradually transfer outdoors and plant out 6 inches apart taking care not to disturb roots in full sun.
