They are easier to grow even in the most infertile soils and make great subjects for outdoor containers. Flowers all summer. Cultivation advice Calendula Fiesta Gitana Mix

- Start seed indoors in early spring for a head start, or sow seeds directly into the garden after the danger of frost has passed.
- In areas with mild winters, seeds are sown from late summer to the beginning of autumn for spring or possible flowering in two seasons.
- Cover the seeds lightly with 1/8- to 1/4-inch fine soil. Germinate with some moisture in the soil.
- Thin seedlings to 8-10 inches apart when they are two inches tall. Transplant thinned plants.
- For continuous flowering, deadhead. Best in full to part sun; light shade is good too Easy to grow. Marigolds aren’t fussy about soil.
- Allow the last flowers of the year to go to seed and they will quickly set themselves for next season.
