Brussel Sprouts ‘Groninger’ is a traditional heirloom type that reliably produces tasty sprouts which are easily harvested. With 24-36 inches tall, it is large size in length and blooms with big round spouts ranging from an inch to two. ‘Groninger’ Brussels sprouts are renowned for their delightful flavor that is sweet and nutty when harvested at maturity.   • To start these seeds early in the season sow indoors sometime at the beginning of spring and your crop will get off to a great healthy head start.
  • Sow seeds directly outside after the last frost in your area, which will not be until April-June.
  • Plant seed in 1/8 inch fine soil. Starting seeds: Soil Needs to be kept evenly moist as they germinate.
  • Seeds should be sown indoors and transplanted when the seedlings are 2 inches tall or about two weeks old.
