Begonia Tuberous On Top Pink Halo F1 With bright pink petals and a distinctive white halo around their edges, its large yet fragrant flowers . This begonia does well in partial shade to full shade and enjoys a rich, moist soil loaded with organic matter. Install the tubers with concave side up and water so that they do not dry out until the end of summer. Pinching off those fading spent flowers results in ongoing bloom from spring through fall, which provides a great ornamental character to containers and hanging baskets or ideal for the flower garden. To keep your plants happy, give them a light feeding with balanced fertilizer every few weeks to ensure lush foliage and abundant appreciable flowers. Shelter from strong winds and frost, lifting the tubers of varieties grown in colder climates for winter storage.

Approx. Finished Seed to Flowering Time: 20-22 weeks
Sow thinly Dec – March. Seeds are photosensitive and require 12 hours of light per day. Thus, there will be a need of artificial light at sowing time.
Surface sow seed and either lightly or barely cover with fine grade compost. Do not cover as this seed needs light to germinate!
Cover tray/pot with clear plastic bag or glass sheet to keep humidity in. Water from bottom using tray Water.
FOR SOWING > Prick raised seedbed for germination time 7 -20 days at around about 25C, a heated mat or propagator will help.
It also has a much longer germination period of 14-60 days depending on the temperatures you supply.
PICK OUT… when large enough to handle TRANSPLANT into single pots TO GROW ON. Transplant to container / beds 9-12 inches apart after last frost
