Tomato Maskotka (Trailing). An excellent trailing bush variety delivering huge crops of medium to large cherry fruits (24gm) of excellent sweet flavor. Perfect for container or baskets. (Determinate)
Cultivation Advice
- Sow under cover with warmth provided in spring 1/16 inch deep in fine seed compost and cover lightly with vermiculite.
- Germination takes around 6-14 days at 65-75F.
- Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle into 3 inch pots.
- Grow on under cooler conditions and plant to container or basket when large enough to handle.
- Best kept growing under cover until the weather warms before gradually acclimatising them to outdoor conditions.
- The plants will readily trail.
- Note this is the Heirloom open pollunated variety
- and the plants are far taller and vigorus than the modern expensive F1.
- In baskets the plants are thirsty and require regular watering and feeding.
