Lettuce Heirloom Marvel of 4 Seasons Organic

Lettuce Heirloom Marvel of 4 Seasons Organic is a very hardy and reliable attractive French heirloom variety ( Merville de Quatre Saison). It grows well in a wide range of conditions and has a crisp texture and fine flavour. A semi hearting lettuce with dark green leaves and a cranberry red tinge amplified in cooler weather. Will keep well into winter and suitable for late sowings.

Cultivation Advice 

• Plant directly 3 seeds every 8 inches in rows 12-18 inches apart, as early as the soil can be worked or grow indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors.
• Seeds germinate from around 50 degree F, rates will be poor above 70F.
• Cover seed lightly with about 1/8 inch of fine soil, and firm soil gently.
• Thin young seedlings to one plant per spot.
• Sow every 3-4 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh lettuce.
