Brussel Sprout Long Island Improved

Brussel Sprout ‘Long Island Improved’ (semi-dwarf) – A very vigorous, self-supporting semi-dwarf type that has vase-like growth and produces a bountiful supply of round, sweet sprouts on strong stems. These are compact, which grow around 24 inches tall and have leaves close together adding to its firm stature. This variety provides ample small 1-inch sprouts for an extended season, perfect when searching containers to harvest over a long period. Long Island Improved has great-tasting, sweet flavored sprouts that have a firm texture perfect for fresh eating or freezing. It is a cool climate merlot that grows best in fertile, well-drained soil with enough sun exposure. A worm-friendly crop that forms a classic winter side, good for making your Brussels sprouts success last throughout autumn and into the cold months beyond.
