Cultivation Advice Begonia Semperflorens Heaven Red F1

• The growing media – the best potting mix for peperomia is free draining lightly fertilized fine seeds composition.

  Slightly bury individual pills in trays or plugs. Cover seeds very lightly with vermiculite for humidity.

  But seeds are very little and they still need light to sprout.

  Germinate between 22-24C on the soil surface. An unheated greenhouse or windowsill will not be enough.

  Sow at 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Germination takes from 10 -15 days at this temperature

  At pricking out transplant if necessary to 8cm (3in) pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Sowing should be with pills to do away with pricking out of seedlings.

  Hardening Off: 10-15 days before transplanting; after the last frost date for your area.
