American Land Cress Seeds
American Land Cress (Barbarea verna) is a hardy cool-season leaf vegetable of the family Brassicaceae. Most commonly taste to compare to watercress. As this has a peppery-citrus flavor when you eat the leaves raw and slightly bitter. The way easy to grow, cool season plant and for this reason has become a mainstay in the home garden. The leaves are great raw in salads (including the flower petals). Sandwiches, and as a garnish-it is healthful addition to meals with high- levels of vitamins A & C, as well as calcium plus iron.
Cultivation Advice
•Sow sparsely in brief drills between march and Sep,(Jun onwards it will be picked).
• Shade to partial shade with moist conditions is best.
• Pricking out thin to 4-5in apart.
• Pick leaves continuously.
• Plant again every 4 weeks to have the harvest spread all season.
