GIANT HYSSOP – AGASTACHE MEXICANA – LAVENDER BLUE

GIANT HYSSOP – AGASTACHE MEXICANA – LAVENDER BLUE. A must-have addition to any perennial border delivering a stunning display of 60-80cm high lavender-blue bottle brush scented flower spikes from early summer to late autumn. Very popular with bees and pollinating insects. Best grown in moderately fertile, well-drained soil which is kept on the dry side.

Cultivation Advice 

Sow from early spring under cover with warmth on fine seed compost lightly covered.
Germination averages 14-21 days @ 20C.
When large enough to handle prick out to individual pots and grow on in cooler conditions.
Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions after all danger of frost has passed.
Plant out at 30-40cm spacing.
