Hence it is one of the POT MARIGOLDS as this plant sets into a pot smoothly. A hardy Annual that self seeds so well it appears as if you have perennials because they keep coming back year after year.
Cultivation Advice for Calendula Neon Flowers New
- Start seeds inside a few weeks before the last frost, or start seeds at the same time when planting in your garden.
- In cool winter areas sow seeds in late summer to early autumn for spring or fall blooming.
- EFill the remaining space in each pot with a 1/8- to 1/4-inch soil top-dressing, covering the seeds. The seedbed should be kept moderately moist during germination.
- Thin to 8 inches when seedlings are a couple of inches high. Transplant thinned plants.
- Trim the flowers to encourage continuous bloom. Do best in full sun or partial shade
- Easy to grow. Calendula is not a soil-loving plant.
- It is best to let the last flowers of the year go and they will be sure to self sow for next season.
