Digitalis Foxglove Apricot. An outstanding variety of this popular bi-annual delivering large spikes in the most beautiful shades of coral / apricot, reaching 48-60 Inches in its second year. The plants flourish in sun or shade producing their elegant columns of tubular flowers from Jun held high above the dark green foliage. Awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Cultivation Advice
CAUTION: All parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested.
- For flowering in the same season sow in early spring in good free draining seed compost, just covering the seed with compost.
- Germination usually takes 10-21 days at 13-15C (55-60F).
- When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into boxes, grow cool and finally plant out 30cm (12in) apart in sun or part shade in free draining soil.
- For the following season sow in late spring/early summer outdoors 1.5mm (1/8in) deep in well prepared seed bed. Transplanted when large enough to final flowering position.
