Kale Borecole Portugese
Kale Borecole Portugese . Also known as ‘Couve Tonchuda’, Portuguese Kale is more heat tolerant than other kales, for a longer harvest period. Leaves are large and flat with very prominent white veins, succulent and with a flavour between cabbage and kale which gets sweeter after the first frost. 2 Feet in height with 18 Inch spread. (2.5 Gram per pack ~ approx 775 seeds)
Cultivation Advice
- Sow in trays or open drills early spring for summer harvest or late summer for winter harvest.
- When large enough to handle transplant to 18 inch apart and water well until established.
- Leaves can be progressively harvested from the outside of the crown for continued production.
